WEEK 5 MEDIA BLOG FORUM:

TOPIC 1: The first thing I found interesting and most definitely alarming while watching A remix manifesto was the copyright with songs. I believe there are many different kinds of artists and each one comes with a different kind of audience. For example even if one samples a single note from a copyright owners song they would have grounds for a lawsuit. Let me put it this way. If someone had the copyright of an high five and someone else made a epic handshake with there friend that had an high five in it the person with that copyright of the high five would have grounds for a lawsuit. This is absurd. People have been one this earth for hundreds and thousands of years so the chance of artist or in fact anyone being inspired by someone else and building something off it is incredibly high. And according the the A Remix Manifesto the people at Due "Sampling even a single note are grounds for a lawsuit." Even Walt Disney himself took ideas from different artist and made them

Topic #2: DESCRIBE: The tv I decided to watch is called The Bold Type. This show can be watched on Freeform as well as Hulu, which is what I watch it on every Tuesday for the past three Tuesdays. It is a drama tv show that captures the eye of any millennial out there, with its different look and twist on life. The Bold Type is so new that it currently only has three episodes out. This show is about three young woman in New York trying to make there dreams happen in the working life of a magazine publishing network.  So far the three episodes have been about feminism empowerment, struggling over self doubt, internet trolling and how these three girls over come it though teamwork. While watching these interesting episodes I do not see a lot of familiar faces. Most of the actors are new faces to me and critics agree. Rotten tomatoes gives it a 7.74/10 in its article last week, you can even check it out here if you are interested. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/the_bold_type/s01/ So

Week 3 Media Blog Forum

Topic #1: Well right away I go on my Facebook page, @HadassahCesaretti, to find a brand and right away I see an ad on the side of my page referencing the one and only Amazon. I did not even have to search for the brand, it came to me. Which in many ways I hate adds on my social media platforms but for any of those ads theres a business that is getting a ton of views because of this ad. Amazon is using Facebook to gain business. Millions of people go on Facebook, well to be correct, Facebook Statistics states there are, "500 million active users of whom 50% log in on a daily basis." Just think if those 500 million users on go Facebook and see that add and only lets say 1/5th click on that add which still is about 100 million clicks. It would take you directly to the Amazon website that will bring in business for them. And what about the other 400 million users you ask? Well every time they log onto Facebook they see that add whether they want to or not. And by seeing it cons
